Fic: T'Sei
Pairings: Spock & Saavik, possibly T'Sei & ? and Ruanek & T'Selis but only in mention
Summary: (for parts 3 and onward: )
Faced with unnameable dread and a past becoming a reality, T'Sei has left Starfleet for an unknown, dangerous destination. When she sleeps, she sees someone else's memories that urge her to confront the mysteries of her past and discover the truth beneath the horrors of a planet now gone.
(for parts 1 and 2:) With Spock's life beginning again, everything changes. On Genesis, love and life and death are created furiously in days. Saavik, faced with memory, loss, and lives created, is torn between Genesis and Vulcan, her memories, her daughter, and her past.

Genre: Drama/romance/angst for parts 1 and 2, and Mystery/Adventure/Action/Drama for T'Sei's perspective (part 3 and onward)
Rating: PG-13 for various moments of pon farr ;) and perhaps the eventual violent showdown between T'Sei and Whatever Evil Villain There Might Be.
Word Count: Pretty darned long
Disclaimer: I don’t own or profit from Star Trek
Warnings: Pon farr, violence, weird memories of T'Sei's
Spoilers: The Search for Spock, The Voyage Home, and slightly for Vulcan's Heart and The Pandora Principle. But not really. Just some marriages and evil planets.
A/N: Part 3 and onward of 'T'Sei' are from T'Sei's perspective, and mostly separate from Parts 1 and 2, which are a prequel from Saavik's perspective and serve the purpose of explaining why and how Spock and Saavik are together, what happened on Genesis, and how long the 'stranger' has been on Vulcan.

Any who have read The Pandora Principle may recognize, a little, the odd memory in the middle. If so, shh. Your suspicions are probably correct.

Part III: Starfleet

She was running, running past a sky of stars overhead, ones she felt and knew were there, knew the position of but which she could not look up at, for fear beat tight at her back…why was the ground so low, the sky so large? There, looming ahead, were buildings. Her heartbeat clenched around her entire body and her muscles screamed flight, not encounter. Every part of her wished to veer away from what she rapidly approached, but ahead…ahead were the lights. A small part of her screamed for an endless moment and cast the shape of the windows into a shape that meant fear, for truly, she had known nothing else. Collapse )

A/N: The first two parts are almost separate from the main story of 'T'Sei' in the sense that they're about why Spock and Saavik are married, some of the stuff that happened on Genesis, and thus why T'Sei even exists. Part 2 also introduces a character who has a main part in T'Sei's perspective that comes later. T'Sei's in Part 2, albeit quite young.

Concerning Part II: ...Please excuse the long emotional dream. I had no way of writing in T'Sei's appearance otherwise at the time and I felt it should be the beginning...

The beginning is also the present tense, to differentiate between this part and Part 1, which is on Genesis and in the past.

And katras...are just difficult to explain. Although Memory Alpha does seem to agree with me: "It is possible that katra transfers are not complete transfers but rather a copying of information, much like copying a file rather than moving it. Spock was fully functional with all his memories after the transference of his katra to Doctor McCoy which would not be possible if everything he was mentally was completely removed." Or at least somewhat.

Part II: Vulcan

He didn't know what he felt, what he thought, for his thoughts had been…different ever since Genesis, almost as if they weren't his own, but more confused, more…emotional. Sometimes he forgot himself entirely. Collapse )

Part I: Genesis

Not since Hellguard had she felt this way, so very young and so very old at once, with so many experiences left behind and such a terrifying new world ahead of her. Spock probably wouldn't remember any of it, and David…Collapse )
